There is an order, an order of warriors. Their mission is to preserve those they cherish and hold dear, those who would gladly lay down their lives to safeguard what is most precious to them. They do not walk in the daylight, they do not wish to be known, they do not want to be noticed or remembered, for they are honor bound to shadow. They do not take credit for it but these men and women have protected the innocent for as long as people have been afraid of the dark. They are phantoms, ghosts, and revenants who bring harsh justice down on the wicked. They strike without warning, without announcement and leave the bodies of their victims out for all to see. You may be asking who they are, but quite frankly that defeats the point.
